David Bishop
Director – DPE Development
Microsoft Corporation

With over 25 years experience in the IT industry, David Bishop currently holds the position of Director of the DPE (Developer and Partner Evangelism) Development Team at Microsoft. Since joining Microsoft in 1997, he has held numerous positions including Group Program Manager for the datacenter and Enterprise Interoperability Group.

Most recently David managed an architecture team that helped ISVs migrate to, or integrate with, Microsoft technology. Currently he’s responsible for a team of developers that focuses on Microsoft technology for the Web. Prior to joining Microsoft he worked as a developer on IBM’s System/38 and AS/400, and owned his own successful company specializing in heterogeneous replication. David is a popular speaker at industry events around the world including Microsoft’s own Tech Ed conference. His expertise regarding the development trends and technology on both the System i and Microsoft platforms makes him uniquely capable of imparting practical information and advice during the keynote at this year's LANSA User Conference
